Great twist on an interview style, Donna – it’s my size of blog when i’m on the treadmill 🙂 Bob’s a great writer and teacher, and the cuss word is a grin!
    Cheers

I like smaller blogs. They are easier to read when people are busy…….with running 🙂

Good interview and awesome responses to your interview questions, Donna. Bob Mayer has a new subscriber and I will purchase his books.

    Thank you for sharing!

      You are welcome, Rich.

Let me know what book you start with.

Thank you for introducing me to Bob. In answer to your question; Write It Forward, followed by Chasing the Ghost but I’m confident these won’t be my last.

I’m a veteran myself. I appreciate his service and his gift of expression.

I have to laugh. I’ve seen Bob use the word Frack a few times lately. I think he just loves language and enjoys having fun with it.

    1. Donna Newton Avatar

Jen, I have to laugh. I’d never heard of the word ‘frack’ before last week. Now, I’ve several authors who have used it as their answer, lol.

It is a cool word though. I’m thinking of converting 🙂

I used to say fudge and sugar all the time when my kids were little. Now the are older and well, my favorite new found word is bubble frig — my son started using it. No idea where it came from, but he likes it.

Who knew 10 words could be so insightful? Great interview, Donna. I really enjoyed getting to know Bob a bit better. Love his books. Thanks for your excellent post.

  5. Karen McFarland Avatar

That has got to be one of the shortest interviews I’ve ever seen. That was a great interview James, I mean Donna!

I just took Bob Mayer’s “Conflict in Fiction” class in September. Well worth it!

Looking forward to your next post.

P.S. Would there be any way I could interest you in guest posting on my new blogsite? I think the new #WANA1011 class would benefit from meeting you.

    Thank you Donna.

WANA1011 benefit from me? Lol. Sure, I’d love to. Email me directly xx

Great 30 second interview, Donna. I haven’t met Bob in person, but I have met Jenny Talty and Kristen Lamb, and both said tons of wonderful things about Bob. I signed up to take one of his online character workshops at DFWcon, and loved it so much that I’m now taking his self publishing 6-week study. Bob is such a friendly and helpful author, and I love that FRACK is his favorite curse word. It makes me think of the SyFy channel. LOL

    1. Donna Newton Avatar

Why the SyFy channel? Have I missed something here?

  8. Laura Landon Avatar

    Amazing, as always, Bob!

    Great questions, Donna!

    1. Donna Newton Avatar

Laura, thanks for stopping by. What would you like to hear God say to you at the pearly gates?
